In March of 2003 Avonline PLC installed our new S5 satellite Broadband system, we made this decision after many months of deliberation and physical testing and we finally decided to proceed with the Avonline System, due in part to its outstanding performance.

During the initial setup and installation period the hardware and network engineers from Avonline helped to configure and integrate the new S5 in to our already operation and established LAN, this was also a reason why we chose Avonline we would have been unable to sustain any interruption to the existing network.

We decided on the 2Mbps down with 1Mbps up, this serviced all our needs and more, as the addition of our new FTP server had the advantage of a fixed IP address enabling our customers to access our image department directly saving time. This process previously used ISDN to upload and download, which was largely time consuming and expensive, furthermore the additional bandwidth enabled all our departments to now access the internet, some 28 PC’s and 6 Mac’s.

The service has now been operational for 8 months without any interruptions and the new budget will enable us to deploy a second S5
(Same Capacity) at our Northampton Factory, this will be used to for
Dual Site Production Software, office-to-office communications and Video Conferencing, we intend to carry the service over a dedicated VPN running through a Cisco IPSec VPN Router, this will provide massive cost savings and the end result will provide multiple services, for instance it will enable our Managers and Directors to connect via VPN from home and work as if they were connected to the company LAN, they can service there email and be constantly be in contact with all our on-site production staff and mangers.

In essence Avonline were been able to provide a Bespoke Service at an off the shelve price in addition they have a wealth of backup and knowledge to create and provide there Customers with the creative service they need, I myself would highly recommend Avonline in any proposal you may be considering, they are very helpful and are willing to listen to your needs and provide the most competitive range of services.
