Satellite Broadband - the missing link

here is widespread acceptance that a good work/life balance benefits both individuals and businesses. Living and working location plays a key part in this equation. Recently, improved communication links and particularly Broadband connectivity have expanded the effective location options. But where Broadband ADSL or Cable services are not available, thousands of potential home-workers and remote businesses were at risk of the Broadband revolution passing them by. The Broadband revolution is being waged mainly in the urban areas of the UK. However, recent reports from the UK Broadband Stakeholder Group, show that over 70% of UK geography is unable to receive a Broadband solution via ADSL or Cable modem technology.

Even with the news in May that BT plan to upgrade a further 1,100 exchanges by mid-2005, this will still leave vast areas of the UK mainland and outlying islands without Broadband connectivity.

Two way Satellite Broadband
