Possible rainfade impact on performance in Scotland

Warning of strong winds and heavy rain affecting Aberdeenshire, Aberdeen City, Angus, Fife, Perth And Kinross, Highlands, The Western Isles, Orkney Isles, Shetland Islands and Moray. Issued by The Met Office at 05:27 On Friday, 7 January 2005. Heavy Downpours of rain will result in localised flooding, standing water and spray today.

In addition, southwesterly winds will continue to gust up to 60 mph at times. the combination of wind and rain is expected to result in very difficult driving conditions. Drivers are advised to take extra care.
